You sign it, but the majority of the other Acadian men refuse to sign it. The man mutters a "very well" and then walks out of the church, leaving you guys here. A couple minutes later, he returns with some more people. They grab you and the other men, and some take the children and women in the houses. They push you onto one of the boats. You watch as the men do the same thing to everyone. Then you catch a glimpse of your wife and your son being pushed onto another boat. Houses are burning.
