This whole thing was a bit easier than you imagined. It turns out that, loyal though they are, the crew is a bunch of softies.

Now you're left with a new dilemma, and you're angry with the Commodore. The crew before you can either be a burden or a miraculous gift. If you get them on your side, it will be smooth sailing all the way to Antarctica although you may have to be prepared to buy out their contracts with a cut of your booty. If they don't change allegiances, they may overrun you next time.
