A Sherlock Holmes Case

You get up from your chair, and walk around the room, mindlessly looking at some of the objects in your living area. You speak to Mr. Bennett as you do this. "Mr. Bennett, it only seems as if the Professor needs some friendly counsel from a close colleague, who seems to be you, I believe you should just go and listen to him or talk to him about what has been going on. How will he know that there is a problem if no one ever tells him about it?" You continue to walk about, expecting Mr. Bennett to agree with you.

Mr. Bennett became silent for a matter of seconds, then proceeded to defend himself, "I would love to take the advice, but I have already tried to talk to him. Professor Presbury has not been acting himself lately, and I feel as if I cannot approach him in the same way anymore. He is too different, and it all changed in a matter of only two days or so. I cannot do this alone. I need your help, please." Mr. Bennett ends his last few statements with a sort of whine and desperation to his voice, and something about it hits you in your bones.

You look to Watson, who has already been waiting for you to go ahead and agree with the case. With annoyance at having Watson be right, you sit back down in front of Mr. Bennett.

"Alright, Mr. Bennett. You have my full attention. Tell me everything that has happened."
