Doorways
You all make a mad dash for the building, hoping you'll make it inside before the maddened crowd of religious fanatics sees where you've gone.
You burst through the door and see a man sitting up against the wall.
Before you can say anything you hear the sounds of an approaching crowd.
"Quickly!" the man says, "Hide in here," he says as he shoves aside a slab on the floor.
You have no choice but to trust him and climb down into the small space under the floor. You watch as the slab is pushed back into place.
"Where are they, Josephus?" shouts the now familiar voice of the leader of the Christians.
"Where are who?" asks Josephus. "You are perfectly aware that I live alone here and do not often invite the presence of visitors. Please, feel free to search for whoever it is you are looking for."
The leader and his followers search throughout the building, but find nobody hiding anywhere.
"I apologise, Josephus," says the leader, "but someone thought they saw our escaped prisoners come in this way."
"Prisoners?" asks Josephus. "Oh dear. What crime have these escaped prisoners committed, Matthias?"
"They are heathens and must be made to atone," says the leader Matthias. With that the crowd of angry Christians leaves.
Josephus moves the slab and you all come out.
"We must get you out of here," says Josephus, "come with me."
