-The Woods-

After walking in deep enough that they wouldn't be seen, Danny pulled out the silver device.

“Lets see.. um........okay... guess this will do..." The teen muttered anxiously as he picked up a random stick and placed it on a vacant patch of dirt.

“A-alright everyone, stand back.” He ordered as he flicked on the device and aimed at the stick.

The three other three middle schoolers backed away slowly.

With a pull of the trigger, the small fragment of wood suddenly exploded outward, expanding over a large section of the forest floor like a fallen tree.

“WOAAAAH~” Danny's friends shouted in disbelief as they stared at the massive log.

“Guys!! SHH!!! You need to be quiet! Remember, you can't tell ANYONE about this alright??” Danny whispered pleadingly towards his friends who were already too busy losing their minds.

Quickly changing the settings on the device, Danny aimed and reverted the log back to it's original stick-sized state, leaving behind a lengthy gash across the floor of the forest.

“So Cool!!! Let me try!!!” Justin ran over, already reaching for the ray gun.

“D-dude! No! I said that I would just show you how it worked!” Danny backed away from his friend's determined advance.

“Come on dude! I promise I won't drop it or anything~!” Justin begged playfully as he attempted to reach around Danny's back.

The scenario felt all too familiar as Danny looked towards Tim and Sam who also seemed eager to see more. Knowing that Justin would probably end up trying to wrestle it from him anyways, Danny apprehensively conceded.

“Ugh.....just PLEASE be careful with it! My dad will kill me if he finds even just a scratch on it!” Danny warned as he handed the device over.

Justin's eyes glimmered as he grabbed the device and got a good look at it. The excited twelve year quickly started to look around the wooded area for something to use it on.

As the Justin turned, he ended up noticing an old abandoned orange tent that a local homeless guy had been using for shelter.

With a wide grin, Justin flicked the device to shrink mode and aimed at the tent. It only took a tight indulgent pull of the trigger to make the tent seemingly vanish from thin air. Aside from Danny, the rest of group laughed and hollered at the result, typical of boys their age.

Justin was the first to notice the small orange wrapper-sized tent resting among the fallen leaves.

“That's so sick~” Justin muttered under his breath as he walked over to get a better look at the miniaturized tent.

Danny managed the snatch the device back from Justin's hand as the boy headed over to check the tent out.

“There! You got to use it alright?! Now lets get out of here before someone sees us!” Danny urged as he looked over the device to make sure nothing was wrong with it.

“Alright, move aside so we can grow back the ten-” Danny looked up in time to see Justin holding his right foot over the tiny tent.

“.....Dude! What are you???--”

*STOMP*

The flip-flopped foot came down with a loud crunch, totally flattening the tent beneath the length of the young teen's sole.

“DUDE!!! WHAT THE HELL! WE DIDN'T EVEN CHECK IF SOMEONE WAS IN THERE!!” Danny shouted as he held the sides of his head with shock.

“Chill dude! No one's probably used that thing for ages~” Justin grinned as he pivoted his foot from side to side.

“UGH! whatever, lets just get out of here!” Danny ordered as he stuffed the device back into his backpack and started to run back in the direction they came.

As the other teens followed, none of them seemed to notice that the tiny flattened tent had remained stuck to the underside of Justin's flip-flop as he ran. The orange material somehow remained adhered to the rubbery sole by an unknown sticky substance.
