Ballad of the Bear

Tis a great pity
Yes for most it is sad
But in your dark heart
You are terribly glad

This foolish young bear
Has exposed his all
And in not too much time
He’ll be one head more small

“This bear is a villain!
I knew him in youth
He is sweet in his words
But sharp with his tooth

Lock up your maidens!
Send your sons away!
For no joy can prevail
While a killer doth prey.”

The bear stares in your eyes
As hardness settles in
Both your hearts weary
For you might have been kin

“I see it is too soon
To change anyone’s mind
But you have here before you
The truth about my kind.”

He bows deep to the crowd
Which calls a loud cheer
And you realize aghast
He’ll walk right out of here

Your friends all ignore you
Though you were the winner
To them you’re nothing more
Than a bigoted sinner

You have 1 choice:
