A Harry Potter Adventure
You slowly approach the red door and reach for the handle.
You ease the door open cautiously and peer into what's inside.
As soon as you catch a glimpse, your heart jumps in your throat.
A dark, hooded man is kneeling by a fire, seemingly unaware of your presence. Only, it doesn't really seem like a man at all. More like a monster.
He is leaning over a creature that seems to be trying to release itself from the man's grasp.
As the man's body shifts, you can see that he is tightly holding a poor Phoenix by the neck. Not just any Phoenix... Dorey!!
Your first instinct is to run in and save her, but you realize that what you are seeing has already happened in the past, as Dorey now rests peacefully behind Hagrid's hut.
You continue to watch as the man begins to lower his hood.
As it falls beneath his mangled hair, you see that it is none other than the dark lord himself... Lord Voldemort.
He squeezes Dorey as a puff of blue smoke is emitted from her beak and Voldemort breathes it in capturing the precious power of the bird in his own lungs.
Just then, Dorey uses the last of her strength to peck wildly at Voldemort's decrepid hands as he screams in pain.
His grasp of the bird is quickly released as she struggles to escape with flight.
Dorey heaves herself into the air and manages to fly away, wobbling from here to there.
Just as she is out of sight you hear the sound of voices approaching. Voldemort then flees into the nearby woods.
As if your dream knew that you've seen all that is necessary, the door slams shut and you feel yourself drifting towards consciousness.
