The Island of Destiny

You make eye contact with the stegosaurus and almost fall back flat onto the dirty ground. These things are herbivores right? Damn, you knew you should have paid better attention in history class. But before you have to worry about it much longer, a bunch of menacing looking dinosaurs about a foot shorter than you come running out of the jungle. They make waving motions with their short arms as they sprint quickly on their two legs towards the stegosaurus. You watch in awe as five of these creatures begin to rip and tear at the stegosaurus's skin.

As the dino carcass collapses onto the jungle floor, you begin to quietly but quickly back up. You don't think these little demons have seen you yet and right now they are too busy feasting on their latest catch to worry much about you. Once you are about ten feet away, you turn and begin to move much faster through the jungle.

After about ten minutes, you come out of the jungle and into a clearing that overlooks a greater valley below. You stop to catch your breath, certain that you left your predator friends behind. You need a moment to stop and think. This is all too much. First you just wake up on a beach. Then you meet a talking shark named Ziko. Now dinosaurs? What kind of destiny is this, anyway? You gaze out at the massive expanse of island in front of you and feel an overwhelming mix of anxiety, frustration, confusion, and awe.

The greatest question on your mind now is 'where do I go from here?'

The island in front of you presents a million choices. You really hope that you will make the right ones. You decide that the best thing for you to do is to make your way to the beach and begin to circle around until you have scouted out the whole perimeter of the island. Then not only will you have a better sense of how large the island is, you feel that it will be your best chance at finding some sort of rescue. You spot a part of the valley that seems to lead towards a smaller clearing so you feel that is your best route. You gather yourself and begin to head that way.

"WAIT," says a voice in your head.

You stop. Did you just think that? Or did somebody else-

"DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER. YOU NEED TO REACH YOUR DESTINY."

Okay, you definitely did not just think that! It's as if someone is in your head, planting coerced thoughts into your mind.

"THE MILLENNIUM TOWER. YOU WILL KNOW THE WAY TO GO."

Then...complete silence. Your thoughts give way to empty space.

You are left standing there in the open clearing, completely stuck by what just happened. You now have a new feeling, almost a tingling sensation within you, that knows you can find your way directly to this Millennium Tower. You don't even have any idea what that is. Could is possibly be a place of answers?

The same tingling sensation in your gut tells you the answer is yes.

But the choice is yours. Do you listen to what your gut tells you? Or should you go with what you felt in your gut a few minutes ago and stick with the original plan to find the beach?
