Fired!

"Yes?" I answer on the phone.

"John, it's Amy. Please meet me at the corner of Thompson and Main. I'll be somewhere at the mall entrance. I'm not in uniform, so please no titles, okay?"

"What? You mean now?"

"Yes. I'll explain later."

"What if I don't?"

"We have a deal... Please hurry."

I quickly dress up and hurry to the address Amy gave. As I enter the mall, I scan around for Amy. I spot her in the corner beside the phone booth, talking animatedly with a petite woman with brown hair.

I approach them hurriedly. "Glad you could make it, Gary, on such short notice." I open my mouth to correct her but her cold mysterious glance causes me to close my mouth without saying anything. "This is Grace." I shake her hand and note that her pleated brown mini skirt matches her hair while her white sweater matches the pale skin of her legs. "You are to act as her boyfriend and bring these bags with her to her room at the Marrianne Hotel, right across the street."

"Is this safe? Why me?"

"Obviously, I can't be her boyfriend," Amy grins. "Good luck," she adds, kissing me lightly on the lips. "Call me when you're done."

I pick up the two grocery bags and proceed after Grace who was now exiting the mall. "Wait for me, darling," I call out. Grace stops and glances at me with uneasiness. "We have to play the part, right?" I whisper when I approach her. She just nods.

"So, are you Amy's boyfriend?" Grace asks timidly.

"No... We have common friends."

"But your real name's not Gary?"

"As yours is also not Grace?" She shakes her head.

"Let's keep it that way." she adds. I place my hands on her waist as we cross the street. Her hips move uncomfortably but I persist, as she doesn't shove my hand away.

"What if your boyfriend sees us?" I ask.

"He's in another state, so he won't really know."

As we enter the hotel, I give her a peck on the cheek and ask, "What's our room number, honey?" She blushes slightly as she searches her shoulder bag for our room card.

"It would be in the third floor," Grace remarks, as she glances at the card. We enter the elevator and I realize that we are alone. I quickly make use of the opportunity and give Grace a longer kiss on the lips. Her lips resist at first but they soon soften up as she responds hungrily. We disengage when the door opens on the second floor and two men in suits join us.

Grace abruptly leans on my chest, apparently trying to avoid looking at the men. I place my arms around her and detect a slight shudder. The two men exit first when we reach the third floor. As we exit the elevator, Grace grabs my head and starts kissing me on the lips. I bend down and place the bags on the floor, then scoop her against my body as out tongues intertwine. "Sure can't wait for their room," remarks one of the men, as they disappear along one of the corridors.

"You surely know how to act the part," I remark when Grace and I disengage.

"I was just avoiding those men," she reasons. "I didn't want to be recognized."

"What?" I ask, somewhat alarmed. "You know them?"

"Don't worry," she says, as we proceed to our room. We enter and Grace immediately locks the door. "Please help me with the groceries," she says.

"What groceries did you buy anyway?" I ask, as I glance into the bags.

What are the contents of the bags?
