Fired!

I decide to go early to work. I dress nondescriptly-- blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and rubber shoes. As I exit my door, I hear someone call out, "Morning, John."

I glance upward and spot a girl in white running shorts and a red tank top, leaning across the third floor balcony. "Hi there, Kelsey," I reply to my landlady's daughter. She waves at me and then enters a side door.

I walk towards the street and follow the morning crowd. The Wilson Painting Company is about three blocks from my apartment. With enough time to spare, I opt to walk the three blocks.

The early morning traffic is not as heavy as usual. As I weave through the crowd of pedestrians, my mind wonders to other things. Maybe I should not have gone early. Just maybe, Doe may have passed by my apartment before heading for school. And maybe, we may have gotten some time for a quickie.

Well, she usually stops by my apartment unannounced. Maybe she's trying to catch me with some other girl. She always says she's doing it to surprise me. My mind moves back to the present as I arrive at the company building. I still have a half hour left to spare.

Upon reaching the entrance to the two-storey company building, I notice a woman in overalls, leaning lazily against the railing. Her hair is tied in a ponytail. A baseball cap and leather work boots complete her getup. I know it's not Linda. She looks a lot younger the Linda.

Should I approach her?
