Darkness and Light
You hear the rustling of leaves above you, and only have a split second warning before a dark shape falls towards you.
You grab the dark shape and fling it to the ground with all your strength. Unfortunately, it lands in a pile of leaves and is unharmed. You see the unmistakable yellow vampire fangs of your assailant as he grins and lashes out. The blow strikes you on the side of the head, knocking you flying; then he has you pinned to the ground, his hands around your throat.
You finally get a good look at your assailant. It is Tagon, a huge vampire who has hated you since the day he laid eyes on you.
"W-what are you doing here?" You gasp.
"Making sure you fail." He squeezes harder. "I've hated you since I first laid eyes on you"
"I-it's forbidden to interfere.. with a test.." You gasp weakly.
"What? me? Interfere?" Tagon said with mock innocence. "Never! You flew around scaring the whole neighbourhood, then in your haste to fly away, you flew into this tree, fell, and broke your neck!" He winked at you then sneered.
