Forest Dweller

The wood has gathered up much information in its life. It takes you a while, but you find some useful sections. You look over them. It appears to be thoughts of the wood.

Humans are the dominant species on the planet- we must accept them, but can they accept us? I tried to give them shelter under my branches, but they cut me down. Why?

They need my wood for houses, but must they take so much? How much do they need? At this rate, I will cease to exist.

Elos... his only goal is to destroy the woods. He does not want my wood for shelter, he does not want my berries for eating- he just wants to rid me of this earth. I am the spirit of these woods and these woods alone, so even if these woods are destroyed and I die, the others may live on. I only fear for the elves that dwell under my branches...

Elos... his weakness is so simple, yet so complex. He fears any weakness within himself. If only I could show him how weak a soul that craves destruction is- but alas, he cannot hear my words.

Elos cut down many trees today. He ripped the bark off, then burned a large section of the forest. I fear he has learned of the elven village and wishes to find it.

Elos... he has found the elven village. Why does he not attack?
He needs an elven girl... one to speak to me and destroy me... what a terrible plan he has growing in his mind.

My time grows short. Soon, I will be reborne. I will be weak at that time, enough for him to destroy me. I must pass on my life force at its peak to the only human in the village... I hope my thoughts can be of use to him.

Contemplating this for a while, you drift off to sleep...
