Forest Dweller

"Alright then, I doubt you know the basics of combat, human. It's not all hack and slash, like some humans seem to think. You need skill- as well as spirit energy."
"Spirit energy?" You ask.
"The basic energy of the elves and the humans. It flows through us all, but learning to manipulate it is difficult." Elk holds out his hand and a glowing, transparent green ball appears. It twirls quickly, seeming to shift the air around it. "Masters of the art can easily change reality in countless ways. To access it, you need to meditate daily. Ayla has been doing so, but have you?"
"Yes, it is part of the daily ritual- you know that."
"Human, other than the daily ritual."
"Oh... no."

Elk sighs, then passes you a green glove.
"Try this on. It should allow you to quickly harness your spirit energy. Spirit energy is a key part to fighting- it is used to manipulate the terrain, sneak in invisible attacks and create illusions that only your opponent can see- you do this by creating a spirit barrier in front of their eyes. Doing it too recklessly will show them it is just a trick, and anyone can dispel it with their mind. However, if placed while your foe has their eyes closed, when they open them it will seem as real as the forest around you. I think it's better you find out for yourself- command your energy with your mind, but not too much! Ayla will be holding back, and you don't want to kill her." Ayla steps forward.

"About time, ready Adam?"
