After a brief search you find a tree that fits your needs, and climb up it. You find a branch large enough to comfortably support you and you settle in. The scope to your rifle is pressed to your eye as you peer through it in search of your persuer. Time passes and the darkness thickens, your few minutes in the tree soon turn to an hour.

You continue to scan your surroundings when a voice calls up from below, at the base of tree. "You can sit up there all night if you like, Metzger. I'll be right here waiting." The voice is femenine, and sounds familiar but you don't place it until you look down and see two green orbs staring up at you. Green Eyes. The voice is Coryns.

You lean back reflexively as a throwing star lands in the tree where your head was just moments before.

"Did you really think you could hide from me?" She asked. "I've been tracking you, following your every move. I watched you climb the damn tree, Doc."

You chance another glance down, but don't can't see her at all. How did she get under you without you seeing her? How could she have survived the fire? Even the automated voice announced her death.

You lay your head back on the tree, trying hard to come up with your next move.

"Take your time, Doc," Coryn mocks from below, "I'll be here all night."
