Forest Dweller

"Dangerous? How?" You rack your mind on the things you learned of humans and got it.
"It's filled with various minerals, and if they rub together the wrong way they will create an explosion quite large. My mother died on that stone for a reason-" Ideas fill your head. "She thought that if she got in front of it, the one after her would know about the stone and be afraid to fire. But it takes some amm-u-ni-tion (you hope you got the word right) to destroy it, and she died before it was damaged enough- for the pieces to move around enough to create the explosion. See those cracks?" The men look on in curiosity. "They indicate that the stone is in a fragile state- shooting it now would endanger us all."

The man looks skeptical.
"And how do you know all this? Seems a lot for a kid to know."
"My mother told me. She said those rocks were dangerous because of that, and not to play near them. You're lucky you're still alive." There is a moment of silence, and you hope you are not sweating from nervousness.
"Alright kid, whatever you say. Where did you say you lived? I'd like to see it."
"A village that's pretty well hidden, because- the... people are afraid of outsiders. So I can't bring you, i'm sorry. It would upset the others." The man nods.
"Alright kid, see ya around maybe." -Hopefully not- You think back.
"Yeah, sure." They pack up their stuff and turn around, then head out of the woods. You wait until they are out of sight and then step back through the barrier.
