Bad Day in Hell

"Shut your goddamn mouths before I rip your tongues out and feed 'em to the Capetoads," Sarge roars, boots clanking against the steel floor-plates as he enters.

His mouth snaps shut as the science team filters in with their fragile instruments. They seem not to notice the royally pissed off Napoleon as they begin loading their dropship piece by piece.

One of the scientists, a young woman with strikingly dark hair, catches your eye. You'd seen her once or twice before, but only in passing. She's lugging a large device and clearly struggling. Nobody but you seems to notice.

A middle-aged scientist with a trimmed beard bumps into her and the device tumbles from her grasp to crash onto the deck. "Stupid, stupid girl!" he bellows. "What do you think you're doing? I'll tell you, jeopardizing this entire expedition before it even begins, that's what!"

She apologizes hastily and kneels to retrieve the instrument.
