Legend
Having killed Wallace you stuff his body somewhere the rats can get at it better, and think about what lie you're going to tell Reginald.
"Ohhhh, you're so ready to shed blood! I like that. So am I all yours now?" the succubus in the gem asks.
"I'm going to keep you, but I'll need to hide you for awhile. But I promise I'll come back for you."
"Ohhh, I believe you. You could never leave me. You do whatever it is you have to do, but hurry back to me."
You hide the gem in a nearby crack in the sewers by the Hideout, before going in to report to Reginald. Reginald wants to know where Wallace is, and you tell him a lie about how Wallace got struck down by some thieves on the way back to the Hideout. He doesn't look overly concerned and is more interested and pleased that you managed to carry out your mission and didn't falter. He takes the dagger from you and begins to ask for the gem.
"Alright where's the gem?"
"What gem?"
"Do NOT toy with me if you value your existence."
"I'm not! I don't know anything about a gem! I don't know what happened exactly with Wallace's meeting since they wouldn't let me in the room because they had a crossbow in my back. Wallace never told me anything went wrong, though he did seem distraught. If he planned to tell me anything, he was killed by the thieves before he could. And after I searched his body, I only found the dagger.
"Take off your clothes."
"What?"
"I said take off your clothes or I'll BURN them off along with your skin!"
You quickly begin to strip off your clothing and after a "thorough" body check, Reginald sees that you're not hiding it anywhere on you. He's still mad though.
"Sonofabitch! That one eyed bastard Falcon either succumbed to the succubus' charms in the gem or he just decided to be treacherous! Either one wouldn't surprise me and either way I am not enthused! Okay doesn't matter right now, he'll be dealt with later. The dagger was more important, but the Syndicate will not get away with this. As for you, get out of my sight!"
You gather your clothes and sheepishly leave his Reginald's chambers. Later you go and retrieve the gem and head back to your room.
"You did it. I knew you would be able to. We're going to be so happy together. You'll see that you did the right thing. Especially when you release me "
The voice then ceases talking, or as you now know the succubus inside has ceased talking. You wonder if indeed you have made the right decision, but it's too late now.
Still, you're capitalizing on an opportunity that presented itself which is definitely following the teachings of the Dark One, even if you're not following the "rules" of this sect dedicated to him, and in any case you still have caused much damage here today. The Thieves' Guild and Ebony Claw Syndicate will definitely weaken each other, making the city much easier for the Dark One to control when the time comes.
