Legend

Time passes and eventually Reginald hauls you back into his chambers.

"Things are starting to proceed as planned, but they could be better. Surely you're aware of the Thieves' Guild right?"
"Yeah, I've heard of them."
"Well you've probably also heard that their base is right down here in the sewers too. In fact we've got a spy by the name of Wallace, in their ranks trying to gather as much information as possible about them. When change comes to usher in the Dark One, there will be many factions attempting to gain an advantage. The more we can weaken the better, and the Thieves' Guild is too close to us to continue existing."
"We're going to attack it?"
"We need to conserve strength for more powerful opponents, so not us if possible. However the Ebony Claw Synidicate is no friend to the Thieves' Guild and sees them as their only rivals as far as the Underworld goes in this city. We're going to give them the information and I have no doubt that they'll act upon it. This shall most likely destroy the Guild and result in a loss of manpower for the Syndicate, which is good for us"
"So what do you need me to do?"
"You're going on an escort mission of sorts. A meeting has been set up with the local head of the Ebony Claw Syndicate. Our spy feels he has enough information and is ready to come out. He's not exactly the fighting type, so I'm sending you to meet and go with him in case the Syndicate decides to engage in their own treachery. They are also meant to give us something in return for the information as well, but you needn't concern yourself, Wallace will be doing the transaction."

Reginald explains where you're going to meet the spy, in a relatively isolated and quiet part of the sewers. From there you and he will head to the Poison Blade Inn to meet the Syndicate.

Sounds simple enough, but as you well know it probably won't be.

You proceed to the designated meeting area based on the map that Reginald gave you. You wonder if there wasn't an easier way to get there, because this path seems very long. Its not like you haven't explored the sewers somewhat and you know you could probably get to the same place a quicker way.
