Legend
"My group is a new one to the city
but growing in power. The other Temples will soon learn that they cannot bully the people of this city any longer."
"Hmm, sounds serious. Your group got a name?"
"I will not reveal our name just yet, but know that soon this entire will learn of it in the near future. Now as I have said keep your money old man. My group has no need of such things, but know in the future that someone from my group may come to you or another one in your community to talk to you further. Spread the word."
"Er okay. But what of the Karnites? I mean they aren't going to be too happy with finding one of their own dead, and we'll be the ones to suffer for it without protection!"
"You will tell them that another Temple did it, I do not care which one, just make it a plausible story."
"You want me to lie and start a potential war between two Temples?"
"If you value what little life you have left in this world you will."
Your tone is very menacing and you have obviously scared the old man. He agrees.
"O okay! I guess I'll tell them it was the Dornites."
"Good. Know that you have made the right decision today. Who knows perhaps my group may even see it fit to reward you. Betray us however, and you shall know retribution!"
You take your leave and stuff the dead Karnite in a back alley somewhere. You spend the rest of the day continuing to get more familiar with the city, finding out that news travels fast. Apparently the Karnites have already found out what has happened and increased hostilities. The Dornites of course protest their innocence, but are already mad that they are being attacked and return hostilities in kind.
You later make it back to Reginald to report what you have done. He has mixed feelings about your actions. On one hand you did what he said, but on the other you have potentially risked exposing your plans with your attempt at spreading the "faith". He yells at you, and says only those truly worthy may serve the Dark One and that he already has those more skilled in such matters of conversion than you. However, the deed is already done, so he mentions he'll send some of those more skilled than that he mentioned to the area to clean up your potential mess.
"I suppose I still have use for you. But don't you dare potentially risk our secrecy ever again! The Dark One requires your service and obedience, not your ideas! Don't go too far." He warns.
You comply and leave the room, but somehow you still believe that what you did was a much better way to serve the Dark One.
Add 7 CHAOS points for causing a war between the Temple of Dorna and Karn.
Add 3 CHAOS points for sewing the seeds of corruption to gain potential followers in the future.
