Gryphons in Greenden

"What did they do with these prisoners, the Reds?"

The smith shrugs. "I don't interfere in military matters unless they want me to fix their weaponry. They come this way rarely enough - usually the patrols skip this village. They just concern themselves with the cities like Tunboro."

You hear Erric mutter, "Oh, yes, a real metropolis, Tunboro. The center of civilization," and you elbow him in the ribs to shut him up.

"Look, Master smith, we really need you to tell us everything you know about these Reds."

"Why?" the smith asks, eyes coming up to yours and a hint of suspicion in the air.

"Anything you can tell us. We're just gathering information."

The smith stares at you and then pushes your swords back toward you. "People at the tavern might know more. Like I said, I don't get mixed up in business. And if I were you, I'd steer clear of it too."
