The Island of Destiny
You breath slowly, realizing that there is no way you can make it out of this situation. There is also a tiny part of you that realizes that if you go with these mysterious people, you might find a way off this island. Or at least some form of civilization..damn.
The girl starts to march through the jungle. You follow her and the two men with spears take the back. As you walk through luscious, green plants you try to find out more about this girl. Perhaps you think, you got off to a bad start earlier when you decided to just take off and run away from her.
"So what's your name?" you ask the girl.
The girl spits on the ground and keeps walking, not seeming to register your question. A moment later she grunts "Does it matter?"
You wait a few moments, partially accepting that this is the way your conversation is going to go. You then decide to ask "Are you the ones who brought me to this island?"
The girl looks at you for a moment and you notice a strange resistance in her eyes. She gazes at you for a mere second, yet you get the feeling she just saw something deep in you. She then nods her head and murmurs a "Yes."
Now you are completely interested in where you are being led to. If these people brought you here, they must be able to bring you back too. Now that you think about it, they were probably never going to hurt you in the first place. You shake away most of your hesistation and allow yourself to somewhat enjoy the remainder of your silent jungle walk.
An hour later, you four find yourselves facing an immense rock wall. The girl turns and nods towards two stone doors dug into the rock. "Beyond here is our destination," she says.
"Which door are we going through?" you ask her.
You are surprised when you see a slight twinkle in her eye and she says "It's your choice. I'm not even going."
"What, then who am I going with?" you question. The girl points towards the two tall men and they come running over, spears still in hand.
"You will pick one of them to be your guide," the girl explains. "Dashur will lead you through the left tunnel. Namen on the right."
You feel a shiver go down your spine at the sheer abnormality of this. Still, you must go on with this and decide on a guide for the tunnel.
