Steve 2, The Fall of Margaritavile
The mist evaporates and for a second you are floating halfway between the bridge of the Gabok and the SPOT. You see the stunned face of Nolan and you read his mouth as he makes a simple command "KILL HIM." Suddenly all the secondary fire of the Gabok opens up upon you. You begin to freefall. On the deck, Norman, already beaten up from the earlier battles screeches around and off the deck. "Norman no! You won't make it!" someone shouts. You fall in and out of consciousness as you watch Norman fly in towards you. He takes shot after shot, his shield gradually giving out. He catches you and swings back towards the SPOT. You watch the SPOT desperately try to cover your car and you, but it is not enough. Norman takes another hit, his shields are gone, another one and his rear door is blown off, his trunk gets hit next, the force of the next shot turns him around, but he swings back out of pure will power. His engine takes a direct hit, he's only a few yards out now, he's hit again in the engine. He's engine desperately screeches as it wills itself to the deck of the SPOT. One more shot nails Norman dead on, he crashes down onto the deck and scrapes to a stop. You roll out of him. He looks horrible.
The SPOT's engines roar as it takes off away from the damaged Gabok that still cannot move. Robbie pulls you up as suddenly sound becomes muffled. "Holly crap man, you totally sent that green thing right back at the Gabok" Robbie says. You hear the muffled sirens, you hear the footsteps of the emergency team as they run to Norman, they get him on a transport stretcher and pull him into a facility, you follow. They hook him up to all sorts of machines. The head mechanic begins yelling to the others, "Get me twenty quarts of oil, he's loosing it fast, where's that coolant?! Were loosing him damn it!" Alarms start going off everywhere. You hear the steady beeps of some monitor hooked up to Norman. Suddenly the beeps start to get slower and slower. His engine starts to die "He's crashing people! Get him 600 volts NOW" You hear a horrendous zap sound "Clear!" Norman jumps off the ground but his engine's sound is getting weaker, his lights dim. "DAMN IT 800 volts, hit him again!" You hear the zap again. More alarms. The engine sound is now only desperate clicks. The beeps turn to a line. "JEEZES HE'S FLATLINING, 1000 VOLTS" The car jumps off the ground violently but to no avail. It comes down. The engine has stopped. Norman's headlights die. The long shrill beep and alarms are all that are left. The mechanic rips off his mask, and puts his hand to his face. "He's gone, we've lost him. Shut those alarms off" You push off of Robbie and stumble to the deck of the SPOT.
