The girl moves to the far side of the wall, she does not want to attract notice. If her father knew she was out of the castle without escourt, he would never let her have a moment's privacy.

Just as the sound of the beating hooves grows inaudible, she peeks over the wall. There are about thirty armored men on horseback. The banners and livery are black with a gold eagle. She does't recognize this Coat of Arms from any of her studies. This knight must be from beyond the borders of the realm.
