The House On The Corner

You are curious to know what made that noise. You look up toward the staircase a few feet from the front door. You walk toward it slowly and give yourself a deep breath before taking your first step. Your first few steps are smooth, you don't hear any other sounds except the occasional creek of the stairway. You slowly make it to the landing when you notice that it cuts in two directions. The left seems to take you to several doors while the right side shows a single door and another stairway to a third floor. You could explore in any direction. You aren't exactly sure where the sound could of come from, so it's up to you to decide.
