Days in the Dorm

A Nice Little Chat

You take a seat on your bunk and smile up at Sam as she sits on her desk with her one bag. In as calm a voice as you can muster you say, "So, tell me more about this whole name mix-up thing. You think they'll be able to fix it quickly come Monday?"

She pulls her feet up to rest on the chair and leans back against the wall. "Why? You looking to get rid of me that fast? The DL said you were hoping for a private room, but I figured I'd see how this worked out before I looked into leaving. But if you want me gone I guess I can go in Monday."

You look shocked and somewhat sorrowful when you reply. "No, I didn't mean it that way. I just figured you would have wanted to remedy this quickly and get yourself a female roommate. If you want to stay here, a while at least, I have no issue with that at all."

She smiles back at you. "Yeah, I'd rather see how this works out before trying out some new unknown factor that could be far worse. Besides, you seem like an interesting guy from some of your stuff here. I like your movie collection I see there and are those gaming books on your desk? What system do you play?"

You blink twice with shock. "You play RPGs?"

"Yeah," she says with more enthusiasm than you would have expected. "Love them, but I haven't had a chance to play all summer since my group broke up at the end of school. So, you looking to set up a new group?"

"Hell yes, I am. I tend to run a heavily story based and character driven game, so I tend to be a bit picky on who I get as players, but I have found that most female players are better suited for these types of games. So I don't see an issue with you being my first player."

"That sounds cool. I look forward to it. We'll need to find a few more players though, once classes start that shouldn't be too much of an issue."

"Yeah, we can post something in the common room downstairs and perhaps even play in there or one of the study halls when they aren't in use."

The two of you keep talking gaming for at least an hour and seem to be hitting it off rather well. This leads to talk of other tastes and you find out there are several similarities between the two of you. You both like the night and tend to stay up late rather than get up early. You both like the same kinds of movies, and she goes through much of your video collection with great interest.

Early in the evening there is a knock at the door and she answers it. The Dorm Leader is standing there with a couple other guys and says "Hey there Sam, you still need help getting your stuff from your car? We're going around and seeing who needs moving assistance."

She giggles with pleasure and says, "That would be great. Let me grab my keys and we can head right down."

You quickly get up and pull your shoes on. There is no way you can let these guys take all the credit for helping, so you are going as well. With their help it only takes one trip to bring up her things and then they are gone with a quick "Thank you" from Sam.

The two of you quickly get back to chatting while she unpacks. You both talk casually about your families and your home lives, as well as how things were back in your High Schools. Besides the gaming thing you are also pleased to find out that she is also an artist, although more of the drawing and painting side of things rather than the writing and computer graphics side like you.

Late in the evening, when she is done packing, your conversation comes to the topic of this whole college thing you have both gotten yourselves involved in. You are glad to hear that she too is not sure about the whole thing and seems to have as many doubts about it as you. Together you think the two of you might just be able to figure it out. It's nice to not be alone with your doubts about this step in your life.

"Well," She says loudly, breaking the somewhat maudlin tone the conversation has taken. "I think it's time for me to hit the sheets. It's been a long day and I am tired."

You nod, allowing yourself to shake off the melancholy tones as well. "Yeah, sleep would be welcome at this point."

She gets up and pulls a couple things out of a drawer she used for her clothing, before heading for the door. You say nothing and watch her perfect ass sway in her tight jeans as she goes. Once she is out of the room you quickly strip down to your boxers and tee-shirt and slip under the covers of your bunk.

She walks in, wearing a nightshirt, and flips the main lights off. This leaves the only light in the room to be your desk lamp. She walks over to the bed and you see that her nightshirt is little more than a long tee-shirt in itself and barely goes down to her mid-thigh. You find it hard not to stare again as this lovely girl walks over towards your bed.

She leans down to look you in the face and says "Good night," before starting her climb up the ladder at the foot of the bed. You manage to get out a "Night" before her feet completely disappear. You could have sworn you got a quick panty shot while she was climbing, but in all the mind wandering you may have imagined it.

You have no trouble fading off to sleep, but your dreams are almost exclusively about what could be with the beauty above you and what wonders this year at school could hold.
