The Island of Destiny
"Let's go to the jungle," you say to Sabrina. "We're going to need to build a shelter, depening on how long we're here." Glancing over at her, you notice she has a frightened expression on her face. "Don't worry, I'm sure someone will find us soon," you say reassuringly, though deep inside you're not so sure.
Trekking to the jungle, Sabrina remains very quiet. You wish she'd say something; she's making you nervous. A few times you awkwardly attempt to make conversation, but her responses don't give you much to work with.
After what seems like an eternity you finally reach the outskirts of the jungle. Inside you can here the whooping of monkeys and the buzzing of mosquitoes.
"Come on," you say to Sabrina. "Let's see if we can find some wood on the ground that we can build our shelter with." Just as you say this you hear thunder. Looking up, a raindrop falls into your eye.
"Great," you think to yourself. "Just what I need, more trouble." You grab Sabrina's hand and pull her into the jungle.
"Quick," you say. "Help me stack this wood against the tree."
"Wait a moment!" Sabrina blurts out. "Don't you think having a shelter touching a tree in the middle of a thunderstorm is kind of a bad idea?"
You see what she means, but this is no time for meditating on the virtures of lightning-rod shelters. The rain is starting to come down hard. You have to make a decision, and quick!
