You press your back up against the wall behind you and wait just behind the cave entrance. The man nods at you and does the same from his side. Hopefully the two of you can stop any other wolves from enering the cave and snapping at you from the side.
The two of you wait in silence, he with his sword drawn and you with your daggers in hand. It is only a matter of time. You hope he can hold up his side.
The wolves come. The two of you take up just enough room to stop them from entering the cave simultaneously and you are able to take them one on one.
Their jaws snap in at you, but you dodge them easily enough and drive your daggers into them until they run off or drop dead. You glance to your right to see your "companion" dispatching the canines just as easily.
After some work and more than a couple wounds, the wolves are either dead or gone and you turn to face the man in the cave with you. Your daggers are still in hand and his blade is still drawn. Though he doesn't appear to be ready to attack, you wonder if letting him live is even a good idea.
