The demon scam

You pick Merle up and run for your life, not even daring to look back. Even so, you can hear the creature snarl and pick up the chase... Merle clings to you, a scared look in her eyes, but she stays still in your arms.

The pain in your head is making you feel dizzy, and suddenly you trip over a rock and lose your balance. You manage to turn just in time to see a female cat-demon leap at you and pin you to the ground with a huge grin on her face.
