You start to run again when you feel the heavy weight of a wolf on your back, and feel the teeth break the skin of your neck.

You stop thinking and allow instinct to take over again. Spinning on heel you slam your back into the wall of the mountain, shattering the wolf's bones like tempered glass. Two more of the wolves lunge in at you, jaws snapping before they even reach their prize. You catch one by the throat and side step out of the way of the second. You slam the wolf in your hand into the wall and hear a startled yalp as it's skull splits open.

The other wolf recovers and stares you down menacingly with bared teeth that seem hungry for flesh. The other five surround you, barring your escape. A warm trickle of blood flows down your back as you consider what to do.

Your club hangs from your side, as of yet unused. The mountain side at your back seems to have some decent handholds that you should be able to climb. The path leaves the valley a dozen yards from you. Your bare hands have been working so far, though...

What do you do?
