You wave back to the man and make your way over to his fire. He seems welcoming enough; completely naive to the extent to which you will be taking advantage of his hospitality.

"Hello," He says cheerily enough. You nod back and grunt in reply. Words are rare for you.

You glance at the fire and note that he has a rabbit roasting over it. It smells nearly ready too. You decide to stand before the fire, warm yourself, and wait for the man to come near you before you dispose off him.

You feel a rope tighten fall around your neck and begin to tighten.

"Sorry," The man says; "It's just the nature of the contest."

The rope cuts off your oxygen and for a moment you panic. Then your allow your instincts to take over. You turn around and grab hold of the rope, giving it a hard tug that pulls the man off his feet flying towards you. He was stupid to think he could overpower a man of your size.

When he stumbles to within a few feet of you, you hit him with a right hook to the jaw that shatters the bone and drops him to the ground. He tries to scramble to his feet, but you smash open his skull with one savage blow from your club.

You drag him towards the fire and burn his body, a trail of blood soaking into the snow in its wake.

"193 contestants remain" Came the automated voice from above.

You warm your self by the man's fire and eat his rabbit when it is cooked. As you are eating the rodent you hear heavy footfalls charging down the path you descended earlier in the day. You turn to find the lithe form of a beautiful woman running through the valley with reckless abandon, heading directly towards you.

Her eyes are wide in a frantic rush. You wonder what could be driving her to such a maddening speed.

Somewhere in the distance, further up the mountain, you hear the howl of a wolf.

The woman will be upon you in a few moments.
