Weapon

  Jezirea ran her hands over the smooth stone, then lightly brushed her fingers over the hole.
It was a thin, deep, rectangle, but the cut had been deliberate. It was too clean to have been an accident, or caused by wear and tear.

  Jezirea stopped and thought for a moment. It was possible that this had once been used to house some precious artifact, and it had long since been stolen, or it was also possible that this was a key of some sort, and it would open up a deeper chamber.
  Jezirea peered behind herself towards the doors; still closed, with the warding paper intact. She was getting excited.

  But what could the key be?
