Paco Valdez
You can't worry about the man behind you when the man before you is taking aim at your head. You fire from the hip and spin around, dropping backwards to the ground. You can only assume that your bullet connected, you don't have time to look.
You take aim with the pistol at who you thought would be the Texan, but turns out to be the deputy. You do not pull the trigger
"I dunno what's goin' out here," The deputy says as you slowly get to your feet, "But I'm gonna-" He cuts off and lurches forward to fall to the ground in a heap at the feet of the vanishing Texan.
The Texan grins down at you maliciously. You pull the trigger and put a bullet in his head. He is still smiling when he hits the ground.
After dusting yourself off you find yourself looking between the unconscious deputy and the little Mexican you took down. You remember that one of the Vigilantes took leave and start thinking that perhaps this would be a good time to depart.
Then again, the deputy is down and you can probably revive him and fill him in on what's going on. Maybe he can help you. Besides, leaving him there like that would be completely immoral. You can't sacrifice your morals can you? Other than robbing banks and heavy drinking and sexual indiscretion, that is. That aside, there is still the matter of the unconscious Mexican to handle...
