Summer Vacation

You saunter over and sit in the white lounge chair next to her. She taps some ashes off of her cigarette and intently reads her book. You lean over.

"Plato, huh. Is that summer homework?" you ask.

She pulls her sunglasses up to her head.

"Oh, no actually, my friend recommended it. It's quite interesting actually," she says.

You are fascinated and for a moment at a loss for words.

"I'm something of a philosophy buff, myself," you say.

"Really," she says, taking a long, thoughtful drag on her cigarette. She turns your way with a smile and exhales a cloud of smoke, "I'm sorry, here I am smoking in your face."

Embaressed, she tosses the cigarette to the ground the stubs it out with her flip-flop.

"I probably should quit," she says, with a frown.

"Yeah, I've heard it can be bad for you," you say with a grin. "My names..." you say, introducing yourself.

"I'm Claire," she says.

You are excited that you've been able to strike up a conversation with this sexy and interesting girl.
