The Black Citadel
You feel a presence. Behind you, you hear a pitter-patter of footsteps on the stone corridor.
"It's that black wolf again," whispers Vandil, looking around behind you, "don't make any sudden moves."
You look back to see a large black wolf glaring at you with blood red eyes. It sniffs the air and then suddenly it turns around a heads back down the corridor.
"Wiculoth?" you inquire.
"In one of his many disguises," Zirder reponds. She's quiet for a moment before continuing. "He knows we're coming and the remaining dark ones will be alerted and waiting for us when we get up there no doubt. I sure he won't come to face us when we first enter the inner sanctumÂ…he's unlikely to take such a risk. He's more likely to try and throw whatever he can at us before we reach him in the final room. The remaining dark ones will be the first of our troubles. Come now, let's go in."
You insert the two stones you're holding and Zirder inserts her third into the slots in the door. You hear a bar release and slide back. Vandil gives the door a push, however it doesn't budge.
"I could use a hand mage," says Vandil after a few more attempts, "this thing weights a tonne."
You can cast either a:
Spell of Strength (on Vandil)
Spell of Telekinesis (and push it yourself)
After you've done this the heavy door opens and you all proceed up the winding staircase in front of you to the level above.
