You strike Garrick down, who falls to the floor bleeding heavily. Surprisingly he's laughing.
"What the hell are you laughing about old man?"
"Ha ha ha (Cough) just that, Tanya's gonna rip you apart and drag your corpse through the streets. There won't even be anything left for the Rot Grubs."
"Tanya's dead you idiot. We already killed her."
"Ha (Cough) I doubt that. When I mentioned her name a shiver went through you. I look into your eyes and I see the fear. Right now you're half expecting her to come out to attack. You're a walking dead man. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
"And you're just a dead man."
You land another blow which ceases the laughing.
You search Garrick's body and find 20 gold pieces in his money belt. (You may take the belt if you discarded your other one, but it's just a regular belt that holds 70 gold pieces)
You open the door that Garrick was attempting to and just as you thought, it leads outside the city. You head back to Holgard to meet back up with the crew in the sewers. When you arrive, most of Syndicate members are just mopping up and looting what they can. You instantly make a beeline to your old Guild room but find its been stripped clean. If you were keeping any gold or objects there, they're gone now and you must cross them off. In fact you might as well cross off your Guild room altogether, from what you've been over hearing, apparently the Syndicate has plans to expand into slave trade and this would be a good place to do it.
The short grubby man who spoke to you before the attack comes up to you.
"Been wondering where you been. Saw you chasing after that old thief, Garrick. So did you get him?"
"Yeah, I had to chase his ass down a long escape route that leads out of the city. Quite a walk back."
"A passage that leads out of the city? That's great! That makes this an even better location for our slave trade operation!"
"So I heard."
"Okay, well I guess you'll be wanting to meet Falcon again for your reward and such. Come on I'll take you back to him. Hey at least you won't have a crossbow in the back this time! Ha ha!"
You look at him in disbelief
"That was YOU?!"
"Well, yeah. What were you expecting? Another pretty face? Come on let's go see Falcon."
