You pick up some good sized rocks and hurl them through the windows shattering many of them. Your vandalism doesn't go unnoticed by the priests or the people on the street.
You make things worse by shouting unkind things about their being of choice to worship.
"Dorna's an ugly whore goddess and her priests abuse themselves to her image!"
"Are you crazy?!" some commoner shouts and runs off. In fact the entire street clears, people don't want to be caught in the trouble you've brought on yourself!
Soon you have the entire priesthood coming out to face you. You've really pissed them off. Some begin chanting offensive spells to destroy you with, while others are just content on chasing you down in an effort to beat your brains in. Get ready to run.
Test your LUCK and add 2 if you fail, you get hit with a beam of energy from one of the priests. Lose 5 STAMINA points.
After that test your SKILL and add 3 If you fail, you get hit with some rocks that a few of the priests picked up to return the favor of your vandalism. Lose 3 STAMINA points
After that test your MIND and add 4. If you fail, the High Priestess casts some sort of spell that causes a terrible pain in your head and throughout your body. Lose 1 SKILL point and 2 MIND points!
Finally, you manage to lose a majority of them by ducking into an alley, but one of them still manages to catch up to you. You must fight him.
PRIEST OF DORNA
SKILL: 9
STAMINA: 10
If you win, you're a good deal away from the temple and not wishing to go back. You can only hope Tanya succeeded. You rest at the Poisoned Blade Inn thinking about how you messed up big time. Any chance of proving you weren't incompetent to Tanya are lost you think. Not too long after that thought, Tanya comes in and sits down.
"I figured you'd be here. Hiding out eh?" she says.
"Oh Tanya I'm sorry! I really made a mistake!"
"That's an understatement. Your actions are all what I heard everyone talking about the instant I came up from the sewers. What in Fel's name were you thinking throwing rocks at the temple and calling their goddess a whore? You're lucky you didn't get cursed or suffer divine justice of some kind! As it is, you've just had a contract put out on you of sorts. I'm not sure what the priests of Dorna call it exactly, but it's not good and they'll try to kill you on sight if possible."
"Wonderful, more enemies. I suppose you're pissed at me too."
"Well, normally for causing such a stir on a job I would be, however your job WAS to distract them, so you did that beautifully. They're so busy looking for you right now they probably won't know the gem is gone for days. Besides you look like you've suffered enough, come on, we gotta get this gem back to the Guild.'
Well that was a different response than you were expecting, maybe she's starting to like you. The Priesthood of Dorna sure doesn't though. You can mark down you have Dorna's Death Decree on you. All priests of Dorna will be trying to kill you unless something changes their mind in the future. (Which isn't anytime soon!)
