Legend

You just can't bring yourself to do it. The Baron might be a rotten man, but he has helped you and played straight with you more or less. His daughter doesn't seem as trustworthy, especially if she's conspiring to kill her father. Still, you're starting realize this probably isn't the best environment for you. After you warn the Baron, you're going to tell him you're going to leave.

You reach the Baron's room where Hector is guarding the door. He managed to survive Farad's assault on the Palace, by running and hiding in the stables when he saw the first demon conjured up.

"Hey, it's the big rebellion crusher! The Baron's inside having his breakfast; I wouldn't bother him if I were you." Hector says.
"I have to, it's really important!" you say.
"Well if you insist on getting screamed at by my guest. I'm going on a little break anyway, I'm sure the Baron will be safe with you in there."

As Hector leaves, you enter the room to find the Baron stuffing his face. He actually looks pleased to see you.

"Hey, its you! Good, I've been wanting to talk to you."
"It'll have to wait Baron, I have to tell you something really important…"
"Nonsense, what you have to say can't possibly be more important than what I want to say. Now then…"
"Look, its…"
"Quiet! I'm speaking! You can tell me afterwards! Now there's a lot of work still to do in rebuilding this city thanks to what that sissy son did. Yet, I see this as a greater opportunity to better myself from this. I can rebuild a better army and enforce tighter control than before if I get you to train the new recruits we've been getting. Yeah, a lot of the peasants have been joining if you can believe that! The army provides a better living than any other profession right now. Hah! They can hate me all they want, but they can't help but need me! I give meaning to their pathetic lives! Ha ha, stick with me and…."
"Baron that's great of you too offer, but there's more pressing matter I have to tell…"
"Will you shut up?! I'm not finished!" the Baron demands. At this point you get angry at being interrupted and grab a nearby vase and smash it against the wall.

"YOUR DAUGHTER WANTS ME TO KILL YOU!" you shout.

The Baron looks a surprised by your outburst, but even more so when Ludmilla suddenly appears from nowhere and jams a dagger in his back, killing him.

"Wha…What?! Where did you come from?!" you say in bewilderment. Ludmilla ignores your question and now turns to you in disappointment.
"(Sigh) Why did you lie to me? I told you not to do that to me ever again. I was hoping we could work together on this, but I see that I misjudged you. Now I guess I'll have tell everyone I had to kill my father's assassin. Someone close to him who betrayed his trust…"

Ludmilla now approaches you with the dagger. She's very quick and using some sort of shadow magic, causing her to phase in and out. You may not use any technology on her and instant kill weapons won't work. If you're a Wizard you may cast Dispell which will eliminate her shadow trick and you may lower her SKILL to 10.
