Legend
As you land your last blow on Farad, he falls in disbelief.
"You haven't won anything, peasant! Now I'll be with Reginald forever in the dark kingdom!" he gurgles and dies.
You shake your head at the madness of it all, and go over to help Ludmilla, but she's already dispatched her opponents and has already released her father, who immediately goes to rant at Farad's dead body.
"You worthless piece of flesh! How I ever sired such a miserable failure like you, I'll never know! You couldn't even finish me off when you had the chance! You let your emotions get in the way when you found out your sissy lover had been killed! Idiot! Then to top it all off, after all that combat training I had you do, you let yourself get killed by someone of low birth! No offence." The Baron says.
"Oh, none taken." You say as you're pretty much used to insults about your common breeding. Actually from what you've seen so far of the aristocracy, you're pretty glad to not been born into it!
At this point more soldiers have come in, yours fortunately.
"Father I think you should re-establish that you're still in control of the city, the rebellion has been put down and I'm sure the people are wondering if they have a new leader or not." Ludmilla suggests.
"Hm, yes I suppose I should go out and give a speech of some sort, AFTER I get some clothes on of course! Guards you're with me! And you, good job, I'll see that you're well recognized for your deeds." The Baron adds before leaving.
Just before you can ponder you next move, Ludmilla suggests something else.
"You hear that? Your name will become a household name after what you did today. Perhaps you'll even be as well known as my father."
"Geez, I hope not!" you say.
"Ha ha! No, more popular of course. Mmmm, that makes you a man of great influence, and powerÂ…that's so intoxicatingÂ…" Ludmilla says and kisses you passionately.
At this point, you're too tired to fight off her advances and after saving the Baron's life you don't really give a damn whether he finds out or not. Besides you figure you're entitled to a tangible reward of some sort.
Later after you've collected your "reward", you've got some down time while the Baron reorganizes his army and establishes order again.
You decide to spend it AWAY from the Palace! The city is in pretty dire straights right now as the common people try to pick up the pieces but most businesses are still open, indeed your gold may even be welcome. You might not be welcome though depending on what you did during the rebellion.
