The Black Citadel
In this situation, you'll need to go for the fat man first. He's closer to you in your vulnerable position and thus poses more of a threat. You use your telekinetic energies to pick up a large lethal looking mallet from the torture trolley and, with the powers of your mind, you control the mallet to swing though the air and smash into the man's face. He stands there for a few seconds with a surprised expression on his face before he topples over. With your remaining telekinetic energies you focus upon some chains dangling down behind the leather-clad woman and they wrap themselves around her throat. You focus on tightening the chains around her neck. After a minute or so her face turns blue and she falls down in a limp pile on the floor.
You feel your energies dissipating, so you quickly detach the keys from the man's belt and they fly through the air to unlock your right hand from the bolt. You physically unlock the three remaining bolts and you head over and grab your backpack, weapon and shield.
The man is relentless. Groggily he stands up again with blood pouring down his face from the mallet strike. He takes two large serrated blades from the trolley and he begins moving over towards you.
"I'm gonna cut you up into little tiny pieces Tarvonian mage very slowly!" he says with his crooked smile, flashing the blades through the air with a whoosh. Any of the following actions would be the most useful to stop him in his tracks.
Use your Spell of Fireball
Use your Spell of Frozen Touch
Hurl an oil bomb at him
If you can't do any of these actions you'll have to fight him (roll two dice). You'll need to land two blows to kill him.
If you roll 2-6 lose 1 armour point
If you roll 7-12 he's hit
