Again, you'll have to go through this round of combat with your eyes shut to avoid the Medusa's eyes. The Medusa isn't a skilled fighter, though she's armed with a spear. You'll need to land two blows to kill her. Roll two dice.
If you roll a 2-5 you are hit. Lose 1 shield or armour point (after three hits stop fighting, four if you have a protective shield)
If you roll a 6 you are bitten by the Medusa's snakes
If you roll a 7 both you and the Medusa miss
If you roll a 8 a parry of weapons
If you roll 9-12 you hit the Medusa
Note: (if you were bitten by the Medusa's snakes, you are now poisoned and have '8 rooms' to find obtain some anti-venom. If you're unable to do so within this time frame, you die.
Note: (if you were bitten twice or more in this combat round, your heart stops immediately due to too much poison in your veins and you collapse on the spot).
