The Ninja Epidemic
You talk to one of the officers and tell them about the ninjas. You tell them that you called them before, but they wouldn't listen.
After much debating, you, Rick, and your cousin are let go. The police clean up the bodies of the ninjas and you are hailed as a local hero. You attend James and Harry's funerals, but after the initial loss, you bask in the glow of the media.
Two years pass and your amazing story fades into urban legend and no one really remembers you or your incredible battle with the ninja forces.
Lately, in the middle of the night, you swear you see shadows in the trees outside your bedroom window. And sometimes when you walk, out of the corner of your eyes, you are certain that you spot someone following you. But it's probably just paranoia. Most likely just a flash back of trauma.
