You tip your hat to the two of them. Annie glares at you with hatred, while Gus just frowns a bit. "Glad you two could make it." You say.
Annie snaps out a stinging and sudden reply. "You had better be, you stupid son of a bitch. We could be robbin' a damn bank if it weren't for you an' your stupid hormones."
The three of you share a long moment of uncomfortable silence before you take a deep breath and tell them the news. "I ran into one of the Vigilantes in the stables. I knocked him out with the butt of my pistol and rode off."
Annie throws her hands up in disgust upon hearing this while Gus just shakes his head. He looks up at you with sad eyes filled with disappointment. "That was a stupid thing to do." He says. "You should have killed him."
"It's not like he knows where I went." You protest.
"The point is that they know that you left." He tells you. "We mighta been able to lose them if they continued to search around Fullton for you. But now they'll be looking in the surrounding area."
"You really are a stupid ingrate, you know that?" Annie tells you, always the more pleasant of your companions.
"What's done is done," Gus says. "We just have to be a little more wary is all."
The three of you stare at one another from horseback for a while before Annie breaks the silence. "There's a Fargo Wagon that's suposed to be coming high noon Cactus Pass," Annie informs you. "Supposed to be carrying a load from Shakerville heading over to the Reserve for a deposit."
"Ya that's a good ride but the railroad may be a better hit," grumbles Gus taking a deep lung of smoke from his chewed brown cigar and blowing the smoke back out into the hot desert air. "The train's supposed to be coming from Yorkstown heading east may have a large high social crowd on board worth a lotta money."
"The bank is out afterall." Annie tells you with more than a little malice hinted in her voice. "So what do you think?"
You know that the Fargo Wagon will be armed and is but a quick hit with little attention to it. However you know from past experience that the trains normally never carry armed law, and is traveling from a mining town whose towns people have plenty of money from the gold being mined and should be an easy hit. However, the amount of attention will be great.
