The Ninja Epidemic
You drop the phone onto the cradle and quick step your way out of there, practicaly skipping half of the steps. You run out the door, half crazed by shock and stumble your way back to your house.
Your mind is numb. You're not thinking about what you should do, or what you shouldn't do. You're just replaying the image of James in his bed, when you thought he was sleeping but realised he's dead, over and over again in your head.
As you walk, you do not take notice of the dark forms following you, or the ones approaching you from ahead. Suddenly this all registers in your head when a bladed sword enters your stomach and comes out your back. It send a rending pain through you that you can't begin to describe. You can only hope that the rest of your friends go less painfully than this.
