The Black Citadel

The painting is of a massive orc army triumphing over a combined elvin and human army. The orcs are depicted as ferocious and almost invincible. Elves and humans alike are fleeing the field of battle, while large orcs on mounted horses give chase to cut them down. Whilst the orc foot soldiers seem busy decapitating and mutilating the fallen. The whole scene is set in a craggy mountain pass.
