Legend
"SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" you yell, causing onlookers to give you a wide berth.
"I'm warning you, don't go through with this! My wrath will be terrible!" Azoth says.
You ignore him and attempt to make your way to a small church dedicated to the One True God. You feel sick as you try to make it up the stairs, and vomit violently. Lose 4 STAMINA points and lose ALL Initial stat bonuses that Azoth may have given to you.(Assuming you still had them in the first place) A priest comes out to investigate your howls of pain and attempts to help you up and get you inside.
"GET AWAY FROM ME SERVANT OF LIGHT! I HATE YOU AND YOUR GOD!" you suddenly shout.
Its obvious Azoth is unwilling to let you go and is now dispensing with "pleasantries" and is going with outright possession rather than temptation. The Priest sees what's wrong and gets you inside the church. He and his followers immediately bind you up and start performing an exorcism.
It's a miserable and horrific time that lasts for a couple days. You are literally fighting for your soul. While the Priests are helping you, it's ultimately still your battle.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST DISPOSE OF ME HUMAN? I'LL SEE YOUR SOUL DESTROYED FIRST!"
AZOTH
MIND: 15
STAMINA: 24
Obviously you can't use any spells or anything else in this combat, this purely a battle of the psyche. A technologist can deduct 3 from Azoth's MIND stat.
If you win you are free! You feel a great cleansing of your soul. You may add 5 alignment points and add 3 LUCK points for surviving the ordeal, but it hasn't been without a cost. The Priests had to cut the blue crystal out of your hand, you're lucky they didn't just cut it off hand, not to mention this has scarred your mind and body , Lose 1 point from your Initial SKILL, your Initial MIND and 2 points from your Initial STAMINA.
As a "side benefit" you've also been purged of any other Curses you may have suffered. (If you were cursed by Dwarven Gods, you may cross it off)
After you've recovered your wits, the priests advise you to take it easy for awhile, they also start trying to convert you, while you appreciate all their help you tell them a story that you have to let the person that you were going to meet that you're alright. They wish you well and you head for nearest inn to gather your wits.
