Final Quest

The shield in your hands seems to be straining towards the statue of the knight. As you get nearer to the statue, the shield seems to be trying to almost jump out of your hands.

Not sure what else to do, you slide the shield into the knight's free hand.

Instantly, the knight's fingers close around the shield. Startled, you take a step back. The knight wasn't a statue at all!

Slowly, the helmeted head turns towards you. Finally, the knight speaks, his voice sounding like it hasn't been used in centuries: "You have brought me back my shield," he says. "My armour is now complete. How can I repay you?"

You have to swallow several times before you can speak, your heart pounding in your chest. "Can you... tell me about this castle?" you ask when you find your voice.

"It is cursed," the knight replies, his voice hollow. "It is said that a strong warrior with a pure heart will be able to lift the curse from us, and free us to move on. Are you that warrior?"

"I don't know," you answer, not wanting to give this knight any false hopes.

The knight nods slowly. "A wise answer," he says. Slowly, the armoured body fades into mist, leaving you alone in the room.
