Dream Catchers

Taka stamps her foot. "I do not want this!" she snaps.
The boy turns to you, his concerned, sorrowful expression catching at your heart. "Kito, what do you think?" he asks.
-Kito?!- you think. -That isn't my name!- But you are already answering. Answering without thinking: "I know my duty."
"Its always all about your duty, isn't it, Kito?" Taka snaps. "Sometimes I think that you don't have any feelings at all!"
"Taka!" the boy gasps. "That's a horrible thing to say!"
"Its true!"
You shrink back. "We have a duty to this world," you whisper. "If the only way we can save it is to be reborn into new bodies so that we can continue our training, that is what we must do."
"Ritora's been wrong before," Taka mutters.
The boy, Kuma, shakes his head. "But she's not wrong this time, Taka," he replies. "You know this, deep in your heart."
Taka stares at him. A golden whirlpool appears. With a final glance at you, she steps through, leaving you and Kuma alone together.
Kuma puts his hands on your shoulders, and kisses your forehead. Then, he too steps through the portal without a word.
Just as you are about to step through, Ritora appears in front of you. "There is enough time to answer one of your questions," she tells you.
What do you want to ask?
