Silent, but Deadly

You take the fugitive down. Not knowing whether he was a friend or a foe, it is best to do this mission alone. The platoon is waiting for the flag to fly over this base camp. Daylight is only a couple of hours away. You look through his personal belongings and realize that he was an American. Then, you realize that he was telling you the truth. Who could be in the holding cell? You ask yourself this question. I don't know if my platoon realizes that there are hostages being held. It is now more than ever to get that flag up there. I will have to explain what had happened to the fugitive later.
Speed is of the essence. It is time to move on out and complete this mission. You do your best not to think of what you just did. Guilt weighs heavy on the mind and heart. There can only be one way to get rid of this feeling.
