POTC - A Piratical Romp Through the Movie

From your cell, you can see three other inmates futilely attempting to entice a dog that has keys in his mouth. Outside, the skies darken, and a cannon fires in the distance.

"I know those guns!" you cry, looking out the window. "It's the Pearl!"

One of the prisoners shivers. "The Black Pearl? I've heard stories. She's been preying on ships and settlements for near ten years. Never leaves any survivors."

"Then where do the stories come from, I wonder?" you point out.

In a stroke of luck, a cannonball smashes through the wall leaving a hole large enough for a man to crawl through . . . in your prison mates' cell. The three prisoners escape. "My sympathies, friend, you've no manner of luck at all."

Now you are desperate to get out. The canon fire holds no intelligence as to what it should destroy, yourself included. You pick up the bone, and start pleading with the dog. "Come on, doggy. It's just you and me now. It's you and ol' Jack .Come on. Come on, good boy. That a good boy, come on! Bit closer, bit closer. That's it, that's it, doggy. Come on you filthy, slimy, mangy cur. [there's a crash downstairs and the dog runs away] No, no, no, no, no, I didn't mean it. I didn't . . ."

A large crash interrupted you, and a prison guard tumbled down the stone stairwell in the corner. Two very familiar people walk in. Both are pirates, the beginnings of scurvy extremely evident on their faces. Yes, those two would be Twigg and Koehler – rough men, but only when told to do so by somebody.

Twigg begins to speak. "This ain't the armory."

"Well, well, well, look what we have here Twigg – Captain Jack Sparrow."

Koehler spits in disgust. "Last time I saw you, you were all alone on a godforsaken island, shrinking into the distance. His fortunes aren't improved much."

You are filled with bitter emotions, remembering what they did to you. "Worry about your own fortunes, gentlemen. The deepest circle of Hell is reserved for betrayers and mutineers."

A hand reaches through the bars and closes round your throat. You feel no flesh though – all you feel is bone. "So there is a curse. That's interesting."

"You know nothing of Hell," Koehler remarks. They both turn around and leave. The cell door is still closed and locked.

"That's very interesting."
