Wild Night
You try to softly push him away. It doesn't work. His hands around your arms are like iron, but whether that's because you're weak or he's strong, you can't tell. He holds you close to him, and the pain persists, growing stronger. You begin to feel cold, and numb, your skin growing dull. You begin to feel sleepy.
You are NOT comfortable with this. You push away, harder, and feel a cold sharp pain at your throat, along with a slight ripping sound. You finally manage to gasp, though, as he pulls away, or you push him away. You feel incredibly weak, however, as if he's done something to drain all your strength. His grip tightens. You do the only thing you can.
You crumple.
You can barely see through the haze of your own hair, and he's forced to let go of you as you tumble into a useless heap of limbs beside him. He tries to regain a hold on you, grasp you, but your ragdoll limpness is actually a boon right now, as you flop and slip out of his grasp like a wet balloon.
At least you're beginning to warm up. Your skin feels warmer, though you keep getting weaker. Eventually, Jake is going to win.
And then there is a blare of lights, a burst of radiance, and you hear a shriek like some sort of night creature, unknown and freakish, and the pressure is off and you can finally succumb to sleep...
